“Hope you haven't forgotten about me, mister! I'm ready to chip in!”
—Billy

Billy is a character from the Wild West chapter, The Wanderer. He is a bold little boy and the son of the Success's sheriff.

Profile[]

Appearance[]

Billy is a small young boy with short brown hair. He wears a white shirt covered by a pair of blue overalls

Personality[]

Billy is very brave for his age, and is noted by Annie to be the bravest man in the town, displayed when he fearlessly stands up to Crazy Bunch member Pike. He actively voices his disapproval of the way the Crazy Bunch has been treating the townsfolk. In addition, Billy has little respect for his father the Sheriff, who had stood aside while the Crazy Bunch did as they pleased. He sees his father as a coward incapable of acting out of true heroism.

History[]

The Wild West: The Wanderer[]

Billy is first seen charging headfirst into the Crystal Saloon in an attempt to stop Pike, a member of the Crazy Bunch making to assault Annie. The outlaw throws the boy across the room, where he collides the Sundown Kid. Billy quickly comes to trust and befriend Sundown as he chases Pike out of the bar. In contrast, he openly insults his father after he shows up late to the confrontation, calling him a coward right to his face.

As the town begins to work up the will to fight back, Billy is among the first to lend his support. When his father again shows hesitance, Billy rips his father's badge from his vest and presents it to Sundown, claiming his father unfit for it. This act inspires the Sheriff to assist Sundown in his pursuit. Billy can help set traps like the others, but being only a child, his setup speed is quite slow. He also has his own exclusive trap, the Slingshot.

After the Crazy Bunch is laid to waste, and Mad Dog goads the Kid into continuing their duel, Billy is aghast that they would turn against each other so readily, but does not stop them. After the duel, as the people of Success see Sundown off, he thanks Sundown for his help and shyly attempts to ask for his father's badge back, before his father stops him, telling Sundown to keep it. As the Kid rides off into the sun, Billy calls out after him that they'll never forget him.
